Intelligent Resource is ‘standing up for trees’ with the Woodland Trust

London, 22 November: Sopra Steria Recruitment has further extended its support to the Woodland Trust with a pledge to dedicate an additional acre of their woodland, further underpinning the organisation’s committed approach to conservation of the environment through its Sustainability programme. A supporter of the Trust since 2015, this new dedication can be found in Gorse Covert Mounds, Warrington.

Sopra Steria Recruitment committed to support one acre of woodland for every 1,000 people placements they assigned to their clients. As a result of the growing success of the organisation, two acres have already been dedicated; one in Berkshire and one in Greater Manchester.

Commenting on the latest dedication, Sara Wright, Sustainability Lead for Sopra Steria Recruitment, said, “The Woodland Trust does some fantastic work to protect trees and woodland across the country and it is a charity and cause which all our employees have really supported. We are delighted to already be making our third dedication, which highlights how seriously we take our environmental responsibilities.”

The Woodland Trust is the UK’s largest woodland conservation charity and these donations will help continued care for the woods and create vital places for people and wildlife to enjoy. Typically, one acre contains approximately 100 trees which vary from young woodland to ancient forest.
